Points
I. Point Distribution
- Active participation in a subcommunity will receive 10 points per quarter.
- Active participation in a community service event will receive 3 points per hour.
- Donations to a GK donation drive will receive 2 points for the first item, 1 point for additional items for a maximum of 10 points per drive. School items are weighted differently. If you have any inquiries please e-mail the co-president, Nga.
- Active participation in a fundraising event will receive 2 points per hour.
- Attending a social event will receive 2 points for the first hour and 1 point for each additional hour.
- Attending a general meeting will receive 2 points.
- Writing and submitting an article for the newsletter will receive 3 points.
II. Receiving Points
- To receive points, a point card must be filled out at each event and returned to an officer or the advisor.
- Points will be accumulated throughout the rest of your undergraduate academic career at UC Davis.
- Points will be added during the spring quarter of your graduating year.
III. Rewards For Points*
- There is a 20-point minimum required to purchase graduation items.
- 35 points will receive a free Golden Key gift**.
- 60 points will receive 20% off a graduation item plus a free Golden Key gift**.
- 120 points will receive 35% off a graduation item plus a free Golden Key gift**.
- 160 points will receive 35% off a graduation item plus a free Golden Key gift** plus a free pizza.
- 200 points will receive $100.00 off the registration cost to attend the GK International Convention or receive 35% off a graduation item plus a free Golden Key gift** plus a free pizza.
The Point System is subject to modifications. Any changes will be accompanied with a notice via e-mail.
*: Percentage off graduation items cannot be added if you have accumulated more than 100 points. For example, if you have 120 points, you cannot combine 20% off for getting the 60 points with 35% for getting 120 points to make it 55% off. Instead, you are only qualify for the single 35% off a graduation item plus a free Golden Key gift.
**: Such as mugs, pens, ribbons. This is NOT a free graduation item.
